A Pin, A Post & A Tweet: Who You Calling Old?

Where did my life go?

If you’re asking yourself, “Where did Friday go?” let me provide a gentle prod back a day to this week’s Fearless Friday post. See what you think. Are you and I in the same aging boat?

“60” is knocking at my door. It carries with it lots of life experience, joy and sorrow, knowledge, survival, trials, success, getting knocked down and getting up again. What peace to have a God who has woven his strength into the story of my life. What comfort to have a Savior who gives me work to do, regardless of my age.

I will say with joy, like the psalmist,

“Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.” Psalm 71:18

If you resonate with these thoughts on aging, or if you’re giving an imaginary nudge to your older sister or girlfriend as you read, please share this post. Add it to one of your Pinterest boards, let a tweet fly, or copy this URL into a Facebook post on a friend’s timeline. I appreciate your time and effort in reminding our collective sisters that turning “old and gray” is, in fact, a celebration.

Where did my life go? God will not abandon us as we age. We have a legacy to complete, from which generations will benefit.
